This policy covers the Divine Creative Ministries website and the Family First mobile app. Each part is labeled so you can go directly to the information that applies to you.
Divine Creative Ministries is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We try to collect as little as possible and to be plain about what we do collect.
When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message so we can respond to you. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. Both are stored in our database.
If you subscribe, we send you a welcome email and occasional article and ministry-update emails via our email provider (SMTP). Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can also email us at any time to be removed.
Donations are processed by a third-party payment processor (Payportal, built on Stripe). Your card number is entered directly with the processor and never touches our servers — we never see or store full card numbers. We receive and keep records of your name, email, donation amount, and designation so we can issue receipts and tax acknowledgments.
The processor handles your payment details under its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read.
We use Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to understand how the site is used. Umami is cookieless and does not track you across other websites or build a personal profile of you. It gives us aggregate numbers like page views and referrers — not your identity.
We run ads on Google to help people find the ministry. If you arrive from one of those ads, we use the Google tag (Google Ads conversion tracking) to measure — in aggregate — whether ad visits lead to actions like a donation, an application, or a newsletter signup. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles, and we do not use remarketing or sell your information. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, this measurement runs in cookieless, non-personalized mode. You can also block the tag with standard browser tools or extensions without affecting the site.
Our site includes an AI assistant. Messages you type into the chatbot are sent to OpenRouter, a third-party AI service, for processing so the assistant can respond. Please do not share sensitive personal information (financial details, health information, government IDs, etc.) in the chat — treat it like a public-facing help desk, not a private channel.
Divine Creative Ministries and the missionaries who serve through it send text messages to supporters who have given us their mobile number and agreed to receive them. We collect your mobile number only when you provide it directly — when you begin supporting a missionary, meet with us in person, or fill out a response card. We never purchase phone lists.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
We use Twilio to deliver these messages and DonorAlly, our supporter-management platform, to compose and schedule them. Neither uses your number for their own marketing. You can stop the messages at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance. Message frequency varies and is typically one to four messages per month. Message and data rates may apply.
Images, audio, and other media on this site are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS S3). When your browser loads media, AWS may receive standard technical information such as your IP address, as is normal for any web host.
We keep contact-form submissions and newsletter subscriptions for as long as they are useful for corresponding with you. Donation records are kept as required for nonprofit accounting and tax purposes. If you want your information deleted, email us and we will remove what the law allows us to remove.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not use remarketing lists or advertising profiles — the only ad-related measurement is the aggregate conversion tracking described above. We share information only with the service providers named above (email, payments, analytics, AI, hosting, ad measurement) to the extent needed to operate the site, or when required by law.
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Family First is intended for adults and guardians organizing family faith life, not for children to use independently. Adults may choose to enter information about children in their family. If you believe a child has created an account or submitted information without adult involvement, contact us so we can review it.
When you create a Family First account, we collect your name or display name, email address, password hash or sign-in provider, timezone, and basic device and session details such as device name and operating system. We use this information to create and protect your account, keep you signed in, and show the right family workspace.
Apple or Google processes sign-in when you choose one of those options. We use Resend to deliver email verification and password-reset messages.
Adults create shared household workspaces with member roles and visibility controls. Members may add child first names, dates of birth, and notes; prayers and prayer responses; journals, reflections, and moods; routines and completions; devotional progress; milestones; calendar events; church subscriptions; photos; audio; voice or photo transcriptions; notification preferences; and AI conversations.
You choose what to add and share. Family items are visible to workspace members who have permission to see them. Private prayers, journals, milestones, and AI conversations are limited to the person who created them and the services needed to provide the requested feature. If your household joins an extended-family network, you can also choose to share selected milestones or prayer requests with members of that network.
When you choose a feature that needs it, Family First may ask for access to your camera or photo library, microphone, speech recognition, notifications, or calendar. You can manage these permissions in your device settings. Your device’s speech-recognition service may process dictated audio to create a transcript.
Photos, audio, and other media you choose to upload are kept in Amazon S3-compatible cloud storage so permitted family members can use those features. The storage provider may receive standard technical information needed to upload and deliver those files.
Family First sends information to its AI provider only when you choose to use an AI feature. Each request to OpenRouter and the selected model provider can include what you type, up to 30 prior messages in that conversation, and a generated family context. That context can include the workspace name, children’s first names and birth dates, up to five recent prayers you are allowed to see, active routines, and active devotional progress.
AI suggestions do not add or change family data by themselves. You must confirm a proposed change before Family First saves it.
Optional usage sharing is off by default and can be changed at any time in Settings. If you turn it on, Family First records a small allowlist of app steps using random installation and session IDs. Signed-in steps may be connected to your account. Records can include app version, platform, major OS version, yes-or-no or category values, a short/medium/long content-length category, and internal thread or notification IDs when a notification opens a specific thread. They never include prayer or journal text, names, emails, external links, or media.
Crash reporting uses the same optional setting and is also off by default. A report records the app and OS version, whether the problem happened during startup or active use, a broad crash type, and whether trouble has repeated. Each report uses a one-time random ID and is not connected to an account, device identifier, or another report. It never includes anything you wrote or viewed.
Turning usage sharing off deletes events waiting on your device and asks our server to delete analytics for that installation. We keep raw analytics and crash records for 90 days. Older records become anonymous daily counts by event and platform, which we keep for up to 12 months.
If you enable push notifications, Expo processes your push token, the notification message, and internal route details needed to open the right place in Family First. You can turn push notifications off in the app or in your device settings.
We keep account and workspace information while it is needed to provide Family First. A workspace administrator can export a JSON copy of the family workspace from Settings; the export follows the administrator’s visibility permissions.
You can permanently delete your account from Settings. This removes your account and data tied directly to it. A shared family workspace may continue under another eligible owner, and you may need to transfer ownership before deletion can finish. Contributions belonging to other members remain. For help with an export or deletion, email hello@divinecreative.org.
Family First does not show ads, sell or rent app data, track you across other apps, or use family content for advertising.
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date above. Questions, corrections, export help, or deletion requests? Email us at hello@divinecreative.org — a real person reads it. Family First users can also manage usage sharing, export a workspace, and start account deletion from Settings.
